Hello and Welcome! I am Monira and I aim to provide my clients with a holistic and personalized treatment experience that honours their unique strengths, challenges, and cultural backgrounds. My approach to therapy is based on the belief that each client is unique. I prioritize establishing a strong therapeutic alliance based on empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard.
My approach is an integrative one that draws from different therapeutic modalities, adapting the treatment to the specific needs, strengths, and preferences of each client. In my integrative approach, I draw from a variety of evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotional-Focused Therapy (EFT), Mindfulness-Based Interventions (MBI), and Interpersonal Therapy (IT).
The techniques I use in my therapy may include cognitive restructuring, emotion regulation skills training, mindfulness exercises, and role-playing interpersonal interactions. All these modalities are integrated in my therapy while using a client-centred and culturally sensitive approach.
My goal is to create a safe and supportive therapeutic environment where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, and work towards personal growth and positive change.
